Catalina holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontifical Xavier University one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Colombia, and also a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Among her interests are staying involved in her community, often volunteering her time and support to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
